Someone friendly checks in
on the schedule you choose.
Etta phones your mom or dad while plan minutes remain — a warm, unhurried check-in call to the phone they already have. No app for them to install, nothing to wear or charge. After a substantive completed call, you get a little note: how they sounded, what they talked about — in their own words.
Etta is an AI companion. Your parent completes their own permission link before any outbound call and can tell Etta to stop at any time.
Between your calls — never instead of them
The phone she already has
A landline or a flip phone works perfectly. Etta calls; your parent just answers. Nothing to install, learn, wear, or charge — the whole setup happens on your phone, not theirs.
Her words, not a form
After a substantive completed call you get a short recap with the lines that matter, quoted exactly as she said them — the tomatoes that finally came in, bridge night, the neighbor's new dog. Etta remembers it all for next time.
Know when something's off
A gentle mood trendline over the past 30 days, and an alert if a call goes unanswered or something on a call deserves your attention. Quiet weeks stay quiet — Etta only taps you when it matters.
Her routine, her time zone
You pick the time and time zone. Etta follows the daily schedule while plan minutes remain; Care+ can add a second evening schedule.
Built on permission
You share a secure, single-use link. Your parent reads the AI, transcription, voice, memory, family-sharing, and emergency disclosures and chooses for themselves. No outbound call happens first. They can later tell Etta to stop.
Your voice opens the call
Record a short greeting in your own voice and every call opens with someone they know — then Etta takes it from there. It is your care and your schedule; Etta does the dialing while plan minutes remain.
Questions, answered honestly
Does my mom need a smartphone or an app?
No — that's the whole point. Etta calls supported regular phones in the US, Canada, or Australia: a landline, a flip phone, or an old smartphone. Your parent never installs, taps, or charges a thing. The app is for you — it's where the recaps, trends, and alerts arrive.
Will my parent actually want this?
They decide before any call. You send a secure permission link tied to their saved number; they read the disclosures and choose for themselves. If they say no, Etta does not call. If they grant permission, they can still change their mind by telling Etta to stop or contacting support.
Is Etta a real person?
No — Etta is an AI companion, and she never pretends otherwise. The permission page says so before your parent decides, Etta says so on every call, and every summary in the app is labeled as AI-generated.
What do I see after a call?
After a substantive completed call, a little note: how they sounded, what they talked about, and the lines worth keeping — quoted in their own words. Over time you get a gentle 30-day mood trendline, and Etta flags things like a mention of dizziness or a missed call so you can follow up. You stay the one who knows; Etta is simply a scheduled check-in between your own calls.
Is this a medical alert or emergency service?
No. Etta is not an emergency service and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or emergency response. She doesn't replace doctors, caregivers, or — most of all — you. If you believe someone is in danger, call 911 in the US or Canada, or 000 in Australia. If someone is in crisis, call Lifeline on 13 11 14 in Australia, or call or text 988 in the US and Canada. If you're weighing Etta against a medical-alert button, we wrote an honest comparison — including the cases where the button is the right answer.
How much does it cost?
Creating and sharing the permission link is free. Care supports one daily schedule while minutes remain, with recaps, concern flags, and 90 supported US/Canada or 48 Australia call minutes a month. Care+ supports morning and evening schedules while minutes remain, with 200 supported US/Canada or 100 Australia call minutes, plus Ask Etta. The App Store shows the local price before purchase. Subscriptions auto-renew until canceled in App Store settings. One plan covers the whole care circle — read-only family sharing costs nothing.
Where does Etta work?
Etta and its plans are currently available to account holders in the US, Canada, and Australia, and call supported mobile and landline ranges in those markets. Premium-rate, toll-free, service, territory, and a small number of unusually high-cost area codes are not supported; the app validates the number before setup.
Is our family's data private?
We do not sell conversations, show ads, or track people across other companies' apps. Routine calls are transcribed so Etta can converse and write recaps; routine call audio is not saved as a recording, so there is no call recording to play back. Account deletion removes service data subject to limited records we may retain for safety, suppression, legal, or security obligations. Details in our privacy policy.
